Who We Are

Emerging from the challenges of COVID, Julian Pecora envisioned a robust platform to foster connections among legal professionals across the I-64 corridor. This vision materialized as Counsel Connections, an initiative dedicated to strengthening the legal community in Huntington and Charleston through dynamic networking events. Our gatherings have featured a diverse array of speakers, including circuit and intermediate court judges, Supreme Court justices, state bar presidents, and the dean of WVU Law, enriching the professional landscape. In collaboration with esteemed organizations such as the Young Lawyers Section, Up Next Charlie West, and the West Virginia State Bar, Counsel Connections is committed to the retention and development of young professionals, thereby contributing to West Virginia’s prosperity. A key component of our mission is facilitating robust connections between law students from WVU College of Law and the Marshall Pre-law Club, and established legal practitioners within the state. Counsel Connections proudly serves members across West Virginia and beyond. Our ongoing efforts underscore our commitment to enhancing the journeys of West Virginia's professional community.
